Tablescape Thursday - Gray Areas

This week I'm doing a simple table of gray and white.  The placesettings are pretty streamlined and the table decor is minimal, but I love the effect.  A touch of greenery from the tulips and I'm calm just looking at this table!

I picked up a bunch of tulips from my local grocery store for a mere $10!

These little darlings were a Big Lots find.  Don't you love that store??

Tablecloth:  Amazon.com
Napkins, basket: Tuesday Morning
Bird figurines: Big Lots
Flatware: Pottery Barn
Gray dishes: Dillards
White dishes: Sur La Table

I do love the minimal effect of your table. The layering of dishes is great! The tulips really are a great addition for the centerpiece!

What a amazing textures, Lori! From the bumpy surface of the tulip's vase to the horizontal lines of the blinds & those great textiles used on the chair & table...outstanding!
Your dishes are very striking, too. They look more cocoa brown than gray on my monitor, but whatever color, they're wonderful.

The table looks lovely. Classic and elegant, yet the square plates are a nice modern touch.

You have a very sophisticated yet calming tablescape here. I like it very much, it is soothing and simple. Plenty of room on the table,
I like that! I don't like to feel claustrophobic
when I am eating!

I prefer tables that are not quite so loaded with "stuff." Classic, adult and elegant.
