"Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content."
~ Helen Keller
Well, my friends, the masses (all 94 of them...) have spoken, and the vast majority has advised that while music may soothe the savage breast, silence does indeed seem to be golden. Here's how the numbers ultimately stacked up:
No to the music - 65 (69%)
Yes to the music - 20 (21%)
Indifferent to the music - 9 (9%)
Clearly, the "Nos" have it. Thanks to each and every one of you for opining on the subject - I appreciate all the comments left, pro and con. The music is now gone. Feel free to visit All That Splatters in peace and quiet.
Now, on to the cooking!

How cute and gracious..Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your grace, Monique. You must be the kindest, gentlest person I 'know'!
ReplyDeleteAs self-serving as these blogs are, it made more sense to acquiesce to those who appreciate their own background sounds. I certainly understand that!
I absolutely LOVED the music you played! It was one of many things that made your website/blog stand out from all the others, and I'm disappointed that it's no longer here. You also had something that allowed a user to link to something outside of your site where there were lots of other music lists to listen to - might you be able to provide that information since I'm no longer able to access it from your site?
ReplyDeleteYour blog is the coolest one I've ever seen (and that comes from a professional web designer :)
Anonymous, thank you for your kind words. If you email me, I can send you the code for my playlist, if you wish. I put together the music on playlist.com.
